How to Measure For Your Wrought iron Gate |
- When you have finished choosing the design of your new wrought iron gate a few measurements need to be determined. Let us begin with how wide of an area needs to be covered in the gates closed position (see example). The best way to establish how wide your opening will be is to measure in the following way.
If you are mounting the gates on existing columns or pre-made posts purchased from us measure the top width from inside column to inside column and measure the same way just above the ground level from inside column/post to inside column/post. We will deduct the and calculate the exact measurements to allow for hinges etc... once you supply the opening dimensions.
- If you are installing your gates to concrete columns you need to purchase a set of column mounts for each gate leaf.
